Food for the getaway

A gathering away from home can still feel like you.

Make the food part of the getaway

Maybe everyone is meeting at the lake for an anniversary. Maybe your wedding brings family to a place you’ve loved for years. Or maybe you simply want a good dinner together while you’re away.

You don’t have to start with a finished menu. Tell Chef Michael about the people, the place, and the food you enjoy. We’ll talk through a menu that fits the occasion—and the practical details of bringing it to your setting.

Sunapee, Lake Winnipesaukee, and other destinations are welcome conversations. Share the actual town or property early so we can discuss travel, access, and what your event will need.

Your place. Your menu.

Let the setting inspire the food.

A generous board to welcome everyone. Seafood at a shared table. Small bites before dinner, or a meal built around a family favorite. Our menu ideas give us something to talk about, rather than a package you have to choose.

Tell us about dietary needs, traditions, and anything you’d rather leave off the menu. The final food and service plan will reflect your guests, the season, and the facilities at the property.

The place and the plan

Let’s get to know the place, too.

A little planning goes a long way

We have mobile kitchens and wood-fired grills for settings that need more than a household kitchen. Share what’s available at your property so we can discuss the equipment and setup your gathering calls for.

For a rented home, check with the owner or property manager that your gathering and outside catering fit the property’s rules. A site conversation, photos, or a visit can help us work through an unfamiliar setting.

  • The destination: town, property or venue name, date, and whether you have any flexibility.
  • Your people: estimated guest count, the occasion, and dietary needs to discuss.
  • The meal—or meals: the timing, service style you’re considering, and any welcome dinner, brunch, or other gathering you’d like us to explore.
  • The setting: kitchen facilities, power, water, refrigeration, equipment access, parking, and room for preparation and service.
  • The property details: the owner or venue contact, any outside-catering requirements, and a backup space if you’re gathering outdoors.
  • The full plan: food, staffing, equipment, rentals, travel, setup, and cleanup responsibilities to address in your proposal.

A few things you may be wondering

Let’s talk through the details.

Will you travel for a private event?

Yes—we’re willing to discuss destination events and accommodate different settings. Send us the location, date, guest count, and the kind of gathering you have in mind. We’ll confirm the travel and service arrangements for your particular event.

Does the property need a commercial kitchen?

Not every setting has one. Our mobile equipment gives us options, but we still need to understand access, utilities, preparation space, and the proposed menu. Let’s look at your property together before settling the plan.

Can we ask about more than one meal?

Absolutely. Tell us which meals you’re imagining and when they would happen. We’ll discuss the schedule, staffing, kitchen arrangements, and what we can accommodate, then put the agreed meals in your proposal.

How does pricing work for a destination event?

The proposal depends on your menu, guests, service, location, and equipment needs. We’ll discuss travel and any additional arrangements as part of the plan so you can review the full scope before booking.

What should we send first?

The town or venue, your preferred date, an estimated guest count, and a few words about the occasion. If you have a property link or photos of the kitchen and event space, those are helpful, too.

Where would you like to gather?

Tell us about the place and the people. We’ll take the food conversation from there.
